Discrimination
Discrimination is characterized by a single event or a recurring series of events that
occurs when a person is treated unfairly by a person or a group of people.
Discrimination includes, harassment, ridicule and neglect.
Often, discrimination occurs when someone experiences treatment based on a
characteristic, such as race, gender, hair color, height, etc.
Types of Discrimination:
- AIDS Discrimination: Prejudice or harassment because a person has contracted AIDS.
- African American Discrimination: Prejudice or harassment because a person is of African American descent.
- Age Discrimination: Prejudice or harassment because of a person’s age.
- Black Discrimination: Prejudice or harassment because a person is of African American descent.

- Harassment: Malice, prejudice or discrimination against a person or a group of people.
- HIV discrimination: Harassment, prejudice or malice towards a fully functioning person who is HIV positive is considered HIV discrimination.
- Homosexual Discrimination: Prejudice or harassment against a person or a group of people due to their sexual orientation.
- Job Discrimination: Prejudice or harassment against a person who has a job, is applying for a job or who has been fired from a job.
- Native American Discrimination: Prejudice or harassment in the workplace or in society against a person or group of people who are of Native American descent.
