Women’s Rights
The federal government has determined through legislation and legal action that women are to
be granted equal rights and opportunities within society. These laws currently reflect a
women’s right to earn an equal income, a women’s right to abort a fetus, a women’s right to
seek recourse within a court of law, a women’s right to vote, etc.
Many of the laws that afford equal women’s rights have been granted over a period
of time and not at any one moment in time.
Women’s rights Facts:
- If you are a woman and your rights have been violated due to gender, you may be a victim of women’s rights violations.
- Women’s rights offer protection, under the law, to women of all ages.
- Women’s rights include the right to: abort a fetus, earn equal pay, vote, etc.
